Dissertation Abstract:

The main objective of the study was to determine the relationship between some factors and achievements in the supervised farming program as the core of instruction in vocational agriculture in the experimental agricultural high schools.

Subjects of the study were 132 students, 62 teachers, 25 administrators and 34 parents covered by 11 experimental agricultural high schools in the first semester of school year 1975-1976. The curriculum used was also considered as important with adequate support of physical facilities, laboratory rooms, equipment and supplies, farm machinery and farm tools needed in supervised farming. The faculty as a resource was significantly related to the implementation of the program.                 The main reasons of the students for engaging in supervised farming were: provision of experiences necessary in going to jobs allied to farming after graduation, and desire to undertake projects of commercial value.
