Organized under the umbrella on food security and climate change, the Forum aims to give concrete and science-based approaches to policy and decision makers on agriculture highlighting the transition to environmental, social and economic high performance production systems and tools under four identified themes, namely:
- Agrobiodiversity and Agroecology;
- Livestock Production and Animal Health;
- Rural Development and Family Farming; and
- High Technology and Sustainable Agriculture.
The Forum is an initiative of the French Embassy in the Philippines in partnership with SEARCA, the Department of Agriculture, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), College of Agriculture-University of the Philippines Los Baños and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD). Led by the Research and Development Department (RDD)-SEARCA, the Forum will also serve as a venue for identifying other possible areas of collaboration between France and the Philippines.
