Adaptive learning finds many definitions in the literature, for instance, in the context of teaching the disabled and in flexible e-learning solutions. While provision of flexible e-learning solutions is a relevant context by which we could approach adaptive learning, this paper would rather focus on adaptive learning as a cycle of action and reflection that enables stakeholders, as social learners, to apply their new learning and improve their decisions and actions.
