Aqua-cultured fish is one of the dominant export products of Vietnam, 80 percent of which is produced in the Mekong River Delta (MRD). Among these, the freshwater Pangasius is the most commonly cultured edible fish species in the region. Nowadays, increased access to the export market for high quality food products has become an avenue for diversification in Vietnam’s agriculture sector.
