SEARCA, ACB partner for agri-biodiversity

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Asean Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) have agreed to continue cooperating on programs that will mainstream biodiversity in agriculture. Asean is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. In a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed on Nov. 4, 2019, the two international organizations agreed to carry on their collaboration to pursue their common objective of building capacities of Asean member-states in biodiversity conservation as it relates to agriculture and food. Calamansi Industry in Mindoro analyzed

Horticulture experts from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) discussed the status and prospects of the calamansi industry in Oriental Mindoro, the largest producer of calamansi in the country at a seminar convened by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) last February 12. LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - The Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research and Agriculture (SEARCA) will hold a session on the regional implications of the Philippine Rice Tariffication Law (RTL) during the Inaugural Rice Research Symposium on Wednesday (Nov. 13) at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The research symposium is part of the 11th World Rice Conference organized by The Rice Trader (TRT). DepEd supports SEARCA’s Agriculture 4.0 advocacy

THE Department of Education (DepEd) has expressed support for the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture’s (Searca) advocacy to strengthen academe-industry-government interconnectivity for agricultural development. This was reiterated during Searca’s investiture rites for Glenn Gregorio as the 11th Searca director presided by Education Secretary Leonor Briones on October 28 at the center’s headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna.
