Some 50 multisector stakeholders from relevant government agencies, private sector, key livestock industry players and the academe participated in the recently conducted online inception workshop for the development of the Philippine Processed Pork Roadmap (PPPR) with a policy roundtable discussion. Twenty-three members of the State Universities and Colleges-Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines Inc. (SUC-ACAP) are recipients of a 10-week Online Training on Research Designs and Methods for Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines (Research4HEIs). Implemented by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca), the training will run until March 11. A LEARNING event led by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Center of Excellence on Sustainable Agricultural Intensification and Nutrition (CE-SAIN) highlighted the establishment of school-plus-home gardens wherein sources of income and livelihood may come in. The event was the seventh session of the e-training titled, "Trainers' Training for Integrating the School-plus-Home Gardens cum Biodiversity Enhancement Enterprise" (SHGBEE) in Agricultural Technology Parks (ATPs) and Mini-ATPs in Cambodia earlier this month via Zoom. SEVENTEEN state universities and colleges (SUCs) are currently participating in the online Strategic Communication Planning Workshop: Enhancing Communication Skills for Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines (StratCom4HEIs) conducted by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) until March 14.
