Southeast Asia photo contest on youth agripreneurs

Photographers of Myanmar rejoice! Whether you are a beginner who just started snapping or a professional with years of experience, you need to check out this event.

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is holding region-wide photo contest under the theme “Cultivating Southeast Asia’s Youth Agripreneurs”. You’ll be zooming in on the colourful and sharp images of enterprising and innovative young people working in the agricultural sectors across SEA.

So which photos will be selected as winners, you ask? Those entries that best capture innovative farming practices, agricultural entrepreneurship, and make use of information and communications technology (ICT), will be awarded handsomely.

The contest aims to highlight the potential young people play in transforming the SEA landscape of agriculture.

Five winning photographs will be chosen, with the first place winner receiving US$1,000.

The second and third places will receive $800 and $500 respectively, while a People’s Choice award will receive US$200. There will also be special prizes for the Philippine Education Secretary’s Choice and the SEARCA Director’s Choice.

Do note that only ORIGINAL photos will be considered for the competition.

All entries must be submitted online at https://photocontest.searca.org/ before the end of November.

Each contestant may submit multiple entries, provided that these have not been submitted to previous photo competitions or published elsewhere.
