Conclusion for the Application of Grants of SEARCA due in August 1

Bandar Seri Begawan: Grants of the Philippine – Government hosted Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture(SEARCA) will be concluding its applications for the Seed Fund for Research and Training (SFRT) on August 1, 2014. The grant which is open to Bruneians and other Southeast Asians who holds at least a four year degree course and is without a significant funding support.

SEARCA is mandated to provide capacity building interventions to address the agricultural and rural development needs of Southeast Asian Countries. Headed by Dr. Gil C. Saguiguit Jr., SEARCA has set aside $150,000 for a number of winning research or training project proposals along its priority focus on inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development (ISARD).

They are looking for proposals in the areas of value chains and agribusiness commodity systems, integration of small scale farmers into commercial food systems, food and nutrition security among others.
