FORTY-eight researchers from agricultural state universities and colleges and from the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Regional Field Offices in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao were convened by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca) for a training-workshop on research methods and analytical techniques in physical, natural and social sciences.
The training, held on September 29, was part of the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR)-funded project, titled “Strengthening Agricultural Research and Development toward Asean Integration.”
It was implemented by Searca, which is headed by Dr. Gil C. Saguiguit Jr.
As it celebrates its golden anniversary this year, Searca is mandated to strengthen institutional capacities toward inclusive and sustainable agricultural and rural development in Southeast Asia.
