Representatives from Regional DOST Food Innovation Centers (FIC) of NCR, Region II, Region IV-A, and Main FIC, as well as officials from different government agencies involved in food regulation attended the public lecture. The professorial chair lecture provided newer data-based strategies that can enhance the innovation activities of the FICs in the country.
Dr. Azanza was awarded the SEARCA Professorial Chair Grant in 15 April 2016. She is currently the Director of the Industrial Technology Development Institute - DOST and a Professor of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, College of Home Economics, University of the Philippines Diliman. She also presented her professorial chair lecture last 31 January 2017 during the Food Innovation Center (FIC) Strategic Planning Meeting in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, to be facilitated by the DOST Region II Office.
Since AY 2012-2013, SEARCA has awarded a total of 21 regional professorial chair grants to outstanding Southeast Asian experts in the academe.
