The SEAMEO Congress 2021 intends to serve as an avenue for the policymakers, educators, and researchers to exchange fruitful teaching experience and share new learning paradigms and practices in the advent of technological advancements.
The congress will have six plenary sessions: Reimagining People Transformation Towards SDGs; Building Back Better: Actions for Digital Transformation in AI Era; Transforming Education in the Post COVID-19 Era; Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Society in the New Normal: Balancing Reforms for Achieving the SDGs; Southeast Asian Education and Future’s Agenda; and Congress Synthesis and Recommendations.
The Center through its participation with SEAMEO, strives to share the long-sought mission of harmonizing interdisciplinary solutions and best practices that shall add up for the betterment of every educator and learner in the region.
SEARCA very much affirms this leadership role of SEAMEO and its partners in the digital age as Transformational Leadership for Agricultural and Rural Development (ARD) is part of SEARCA’s 7 priority areas following its 11th Five-Year Plan of Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN).
At the end of the congress, it is expected that a Southeast Asian regional plan of action shall contribute to the SEAMEO Strategic Plan (2021/2030). This regional program hopes to prepare highly skilled workforce and learners brought by the new normal to thrive in the information age.
