Three managers and an officer of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (RECFON) based in Jakarta, Indonesia visited SEARCA on 23-25 August 2017 as part of the SEAMEO Staff Exchange Program.

The delegation included Dr. Dwi Nastiti Iswarawanti, Manager for Training; Ms. Kusyanti Febriani Hapsari, Manager for Finance of Accounting; Mr. Mochammad Perbowo, Manager for Human Resources and General Affairs; and Ms. Evi Ermayani, Partnership Officer.

SEARCA's participation in the SEAMEO staff exchange program involves hosting of visiting staff from other SEAMEO centers and sending SEARCA staff to other SEAMEO centers. These are coordinated by the Human Resources Management Unit (HRMU) under its Staff Development Program.

Such staff exchange visits provide opportunities for the participants to broaden their knowledge and exchange best practices and experiences in their particular discipline or areas of expertise. The program also serves as a ground to build stronger linkages and strengthen inter-center collaboration among SEAMEO centers.

The RECFON contingent was briefed on SEARCA's programs and activities, particularly knowledge management, administration of scholarship programs, short-term training, publication and information dissemination, and network and linkages. They were also given an overview of the Center's administrative support services including finance operations, human resource management, information technology, facilities operations and general services (maintenance and security).
