Graduate scholars from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam played games that aimed to foster team work and camaraderie, despite their diverse backgrounds. The team building activity was a welcome break from the scholars' academic work in the middle of the semester.
The scholars also elected a new set of officers for the SEARCA Scholars Association (SSA) on the same day. The officers will coordinate and encourage scholars from their respective countries to actively participate in SSA and other SEARCA-related events.
It was a long day, but everyone went home with smiles on their faces -- a proof that they enjoyed the experience.
SEARCA through its Graduate Education and Institutional Development Department (GEIDD) holds team building and other skills development trainings annually, for scholars to make their graduate life productive and enjoyable.
