SEARCA and UPOU to offer fifth online course on responding to climate risks in agriculture and natural resource management

The UP Open University (UPOU) in partnership with the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is now accepting applications to participate in the Fifth Online Course on Responding to Climate Risks in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management to be held on 19 July to 11 October 2014.

searca-and-upou-to-offer-fifth-online-course-on-responding-to-climate-risks-in-agriculture-and-natural-resource-managementThe online course invites government planners, technical staff at the regional, national and local levels, researchers and practitioners/representatives and staff of regional or national NGOs who are about to start active involvement in, or are relatively new at implementing climate change adaptation initiatives in the agricultural and natural resources sector.  Lecturers include members of the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC), namely, Dr. Rodel Lasco from the Philippines, and Dr. Rizaldi Boer from Indonesia.  Attached is the course flyer indicating the course content and schedule, facilitators, and course fee.

The total course fee of PHP5,500.00 includes the miscellaneous fee of PHP500.00 for Filipino participants and USD215.00 for international participants.
