SEAMEO Secretariat receives SEARCA delegation under Staff Exchange Program

Bangkok, Thailand - Three administrative staff from SEARCA were welcomed by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization's Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat) at its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand on 20-21 September 2017 as part of the SEAMEO Staff Exchange Program. The program aims to enhance cooperation and partnership between and among SEAMEO Centers and the SEAMEO Secretariat, as well as strengthen capacities of its staff along their respective areas of interest and expertise. 

The SEAMEO Secretariat hosted the two-day activity in coordination with SEARCA's Human Resources Management Unit (HRMU). The delegation included Ms. Lovely Grace R. Urriza, HR Associate from HRMU; Ms. Adah Sofia A. Renovilla, Secretary at the Office of the Director; and Ms. Rochella B. Lapitan, Program Support Staff from the Research and Development Department.

The Secretariat serves as the executive arm of the SEAMEO Council with a robust and well-built administrative support services that function well in coordinating activities and programs among SEAMEO Member Countries, Centers, donors, and other partner organizations.

Ms. Natcha Kampiranond, SEAMEO Secretariat's Administration Manager, shared relevant information about their administrative databases, which include document registry, digital filing, and tracking systems, among others. Moreover, the delegates from SEARCA were also briefed by Ms. Kornkanok Chureeganon, SEAMEO Secretariat's Finance Manager, on its financial operations, project management, and budgetary system.
