The FSC is based at the University of Hohenheim and is one of five excellence centers of the EXCEED program supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funding from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany. SEARCA is one of the network partners of FSC since 2009.
The Excellence Scholarships is open for students from developing countries who are interested to pursue the PhD program on Global Food Security at the University of Hohenheim starting September 1, 2015. On the other hand, the Short-term Scholarships will support outstanding researchers from developing countries to conduct their research either at the University of Hohenheim (South-North) or at a national or international research institute in a developing country, such as one of the CGIAR centers (South-South).
